What is the difference between the Ultra Adventure Hat and the Adventure Hat?
The Ultra has a narrower 3½" brim and shorter 6" neck cape compared to the Adventure Hat's 4" brim and 7½" neck cape. The Ultra features a Reverse Split Brim that folds flat, a Sunglass Lock, and UPF 50+ protection including the crown mesh. It is also lighter at 74g vs 85g. Choose the Adventure Hat for maximum coverage; choose the Ultra for packability and the sunglass feature.
Does the Ultra Adventure Hat UPF rating include the mesh?
Yes. Unlike the standard Adventure Hat, the Ultra Adventure Hat's UPF 50+ rating includes the crown mesh — the entire hat is certified UPF 50+.
What is the Reverse Split Brim™?
The Reverse Split Brim is a patented brim design that folds flat for compact packing. The standard Adventure Hat must be packed flat without folding — the Ultra's brim folds neatly for easy storage in a day pack, bag or suitcase.
What is the Sunglass Lock™?
The Sunglass Lock is a feature built into the sides of the hat that holds sunglasses securely in place when not on your face — so they stay with the hat rather than swinging, dropping or getting lost on the trail.
How do I size the Ultra Adventure Hat?
S/M fits head circumferences of 54–58cm (21.3–22.8"). L/XL fits 58–63cm (22.8–24.8"). Both sizes have an adjustable sizing band. Measure around your head just above the ears.
Is the Ultra Adventure Hat waterproof?
